People talked about how Pim and Daisy met. Growing
up Daisy lived up the street from "Stop 5" and Pim worked on the
railroad. His train stopped at "Stop 5" and he would walk up the
street to our area of Erie. On one of these occasions he met Myrtle
(Daisy's mom). Story has it that Myrtle would feed him. And it got
to be a regular habit. It didn't hurt that she had the most
beautiful daughters in the neighborhood either. Daisy was visiting
relatives and her mom sent word she should come home, there was
someone she wanted her to meet. Pim and Daisy married in June
of 1942. |

This summer I did some repairs to my mom and our
house and found out that the metal stairs next to the garage are
from the caboose that Pim was in charge of. When they scrapped it,
he brought the stairs up to his father-in-law's house. (now my
house)
I was also told that he built the cabinets in my
house. Thanks Uncle Pim. |
