Kathy Fuller

December 18, 1953 ~ March 16, 2018

Kathleen A. "Kathy" Fuller, age 64, of Erie, entered into eternal peace on Friday, March 16, 2018.
She was born in Erie, on December 18, 1953, daughter of the late Duane Harkless and Lillian Harkless Phillips.

Kathy was a graduate of the Great Lakes Institute of Technology. She first worked at the V.A. Medical Center before she stepped away to raise her daughters. She then continued her career at Western Reserve Convalescent Home and then for many years at St. Vincent Health Center.
Kathy retired in 2012 as a Direct Support Professional for Erie Homes for Children and Adults. It was a job she loved for over ten years and
she had a passion for working with the residents. Kathy was an active member of Henderson United Methodist Church, where over the years she served as Sunday School Teacher, Children's Choir Director, Church Treasurer, Lay Speaker, volunteered in the Food Pantry,
and served in ministry in New Orleans following Katrina.

Kathy enjoyed arts and crafts, coloring, and especially Elvis Presley and his music. Kathy loved her animals and spending quality time with her family.

Throughout her life, Kathy loved Jesus and lived the commandments. During her recent stay at the Village of Luther Square / Life Program,
Kathy made many good friends. She was well loved by all who knew her, and she loved them. She was an encouragement to everyone she was in contact with, even in her illness.

Kathy is survived by her two daughters, Tanya Fuller and Patricia Fuller (Danielle); stepfather, Alfred Phillips; four sisters,
Dorothy Harkless Gilkey, Gail Gilkey (Robert), Susan Harkless (Ted) and Barbara Harkless; four grandchildren, Kiera, Carei, Caron and Amaya Williams; and many nieces and nephews. Kathy's best friend, Mary Adams, also survives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fuller, Jr.; one sister, Sandra Johnson; and an infant brother, Duane Harkless.

A Celebration of Life Service was held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2931 Myrtle Street,
conducted by Pastor Mary Stewart and Pastor Curtis Jones, Jr. Laid to rest in  Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

Kathy respected and loved and enjoyed all people. I remember the summer day I "kidnapped" Kathy and we went out joyriding and ended up at the
beach. She jumped in the waves of Lake Erie for hours and just loved it.
For shared dinners, she would make up a very large dish of her famous rosa marina so everyone would be sure to get a generous serving.
She never wanted anyone to go without. Her love for God was evident in how she lived. A true follower of Jesus. And now she is with him.

I remember as little girls our trips to Erie to visit. We were 4 days apart in age so we automatically paired off as playmates.
God speed cousin, no more pain.

My heart is aching so badly. I cant seem to deal or wrap my head around why you are going through this.
We were just at your favorite place to eat The Olive garden not knowing that would be the last time to take you to your favorite restaurant.
You are always my number 1 fan. Never judged me, understood me and always loved me just as i am.
I could not have ever asked for a better mother than you. I LOVE YOU MOM!!
