Because He Lives

 God sent his son They called him Jesus
He came to love Heal and forgive
He lived and died To buy my pardon
An empty grave Is there to prove
My Savior lives

Because he lives I can face tomorrow
Because he lives All fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living Just because he lives

How sweet to hold A newborn baby
And feel the pride And joy he gives
But greater still The calm assurance
This child can face Uncertain days
Just Because he lives

And then one day I'll cross the river
I'll fight life's final war with pain
And then as death Gives way to victory
I'll see the lights Of glory and I'll know he lives

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them
that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.

I had the pleasure of knowing Joey through his grandmother Merrilee and Henderson church.
He helped us at the summer reading program and the food pantry.  He was a pleasure to be around.  I know one thing he loved his little girls.
I was sad to hear of his passing and send prayers to his family,
Margaret Harrison
