He enjoyed hunting and gun collecting.

Gerald will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years Marilyn Sontag Rettger whom he married May 10, 1969; daughters, Sharon Zuccolotto (Andrew) of North East and Gail Meeker (Michael) of Sanger, Texas; a son, Paul Rettger (Cristal) of Monessen, Pa.; a brother, Tom Rettger (Terry) of Union City; sisters, Judith Spaeder (Gerald) of Erie, Diane Rettger of Newton, Mass., Rev. Found this song was number one the day that Marilyn and Gerald were married. I feel its appropriate for here.  Don't Let Me Down
My prayers go out to his family. As they prepare for his funeral and saying their goodbyes, I prepare a place for Gerry here at Life Ever After.

Rettger Family,
I am sorry to read about Gerry's passing. I remember when he was the driver for our many field trips. I always enjoyed our conversations about the kids, school, and 'stuff'. Gerry enjoyed being part of the fun with the kids!
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
